September News

Friends of HatchBridge,

Just like that, we’re officially off into Fall 2024.

You may know that we serve two sets of customers at HatchBridge: those with KSU intellectual property and entrepreneurs from communities that surround KSU.

Building spinouts from KSU research is one way to ensure research with the potential to impact people accomplishes that impact. HatchBridge is working to expand access to programs for faculty entrepreneurs with Coffee and Commercialization information sessions on both campuses in the coming months. If you want to ensure your research has an impact, email me personally at [email protected]!

We also love working with entrepreneurs from all over the communities near KSU (no affiliation with KSU required!) as they work to design their business model. We have a number of ongoing programs for startups of all types, and if you’re not sure where you fit you can email me directly as well.

Eager to build together!

Director of Incubation and Commercialization

Incubator Spotlight: Ian McDonald

We are proud to highlight Ian McDonald a HatchBrige Fellow and recent graduate of the MBA Program at Coles College of Business. Over the summer, Ian helped a number of companies with their fundraising efforts and has accepted a full-time position at portfolio company Mycologic, where he will lead business development.

“As a HatchBridge Fellow, I applied knowledge gained from my MBA courses to assist various startup companies in their pursuit of venture capital funding. Working at HatchBridge helped me build relationships with other founders and ultimately put me in position to join an exciting startup” (Ian McDonald)
